Stockman's Wallet privacy
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 June 2026
Overview
Stockman's Wallet ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Stockman's Wallet Pty Ltd (ABN 73 686 149 128), based in Queensland, Australia. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS application and website (together, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. This Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: Name and email address via Sign in with Apple or email registration. When using Sign in with Apple, you may choose to hide your email address.
- Livestock data: Herd details, head counts, weights, breed information, purchase prices, and other livestock management data you enter.
- Property information: Property names, locations, and PIC (Property Identification Code) numbers.
- Sales records: Saleyard and private sale transaction details.
- Yardbook events: Scheduled tasks, health records, and muster events.
- AI conversations: Messages you send to Brangus, our AI assistant. We process these to generate responses and store conversation content only where needed to provide app functionality (such as chat history you choose to keep), maintain security, or troubleshoot issues. We do not use your Brangus conversations for advertising or profiling.
- Subscription and billing data: Your plan, subscription status, free-trial status, renewal and expiry dates, transaction identifiers, and usage-allowance records. Payments are processed by Apple, Stripe, and RevenueCat (see Payments and Subscriptions below). We do not collect or store your full payment-card numbers.
- Usage and technical data: Information about how you interact with the Service, such as features used, actions taken, device and browser type, app version, and diagnostic and error data. This is described further under Third-Party Services and Cookies and Tracking.
We do not collect your device's precise GPS location unless you choose to provide it. We may collect property location information that you enter into the Service, such as property names, addresses, regions, PICs, or map details used for features such as weather, freight, or valuation context. We do not collect your contacts, photos (other than images you choose to submit to a feature), or information from other apps on your device. We do not collect sensitive information (such as health, racial, or political information) as defined in the Privacy Act, and ask that you do not enter it into the Service.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide livestock portfolio valuations using available livestock market data, including MLA (Meat & Livestock Australia) and other industry or third-party data sources we may add over time.
- Calculate freight cost estimates between locations.
- Power Brangus, our AI assistant, to answer questions about your portfolio.
- Sync your data between devices via your account.
- Send notifications about yardbook events you have scheduled.
- Process payments, manage subscriptions, free trials, and AI usage allowances, and issue tax invoices and receipts.
- Maintain the security and integrity of the Service, prevent fraud and misuse, and provide customer support.
- Understand how the Service is used so we can fix problems and improve it, and comply with our legal obligations.
- Produce aggregated or de-identified insights to improve the Service, develop valuation models, and analyse market trends, in a form that does not identify you, your business, your property, or your livestock position.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use the livestock data, valuations, sale records, or other information you enter in the app for advertising or profiling. On our public marketing website only, we use advertising measurement tools (the Meta Pixel) to understand how visitors arrive and to improve our advertising; see Third-Party Services below.
Payments and Subscriptions
When you subscribe to a paid plan or purchase an Intelligence Pack, your payment is handled by a payment provider, not by us directly:
- Apple (iOS purchases):in-app purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. Apple handles your payment details under Apple's own privacy policy; we receive confirmation of your subscription status and transaction identifiers, not your card details.
- Stripe and RevenueCat (web purchases): payments on the website are processed by Stripe, and subscription status is managed through RevenueCat. Stripe collects and processes your payment-card details directly under its own privacy policy. We receive your subscription status, transaction identifiers, and the information needed to issue a tax invoice; we do not receive or store your full card number.
We use this information to activate and manage your subscription, apply usage allowances, prevent fraud, meet our tax and accounting obligations, and provide support.
Sharing You Authorise
You may choose to share access to your records, valuations, reports, or related information with advisors, lenders, accountants, or other third parties. We only provide that access where you authorise it through the Service or otherwise instruct us to do so. If you access another person's data through the Service, you must do so only with their permission and only for the purpose for which access was granted. Your herd, property, valuation, and sales data remain private unless you deliberately share them.
Ch 40 Network and Profile Discoverability
Stockman's Wallet includes Ch 40, a producer network. If you take part, a basic profile may be discoverable to other producers so they can send you connection requests. Other producers can see only your basic profile details. They cannot see your herd, property, valuation, or sales data, which remain private unless you deliberately share them through a specific feature. Participation in Ch 40 is optional.
Data Storage and Security
We take the security of your data seriously and use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information held in Stockman's Wallet. These measures include:
- Encryption in transit. Data sent between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS. Authentication credentials are stored in the encrypted iOS Keychain and are never transmitted in plain text.
- Encryption at rest. Data stored in our database is encrypted at rest by our infrastructure provider.
- Australian data hosting. Your data is stored in Australia (Sydney region, ap-southeast-2) on cloud servers hosted by Supabase, with infrastructure provided by Amazon Web Services.
- Account isolation. Row-level security policies and access controls help ensure users can only access their own account, herd, property, valuation, and subscription data.
- Authentication. Access to your account requires you to be signed in using supported authentication methods, including Sign in with Apple and email-based authentication.
Stockman's Wallet does not currently offer end-to-end encryption. End-to-end encryption would limit our ability to provide account support, recover user data, and operate valuation, reporting, and AI features that rely on processing account information. We consider encryption in transit, encryption at rest, and account-level access controls to be the appropriate approach for a livestock records and valuation platform.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Access to Your Data
To provide support and keep the Service operating reliably, authorised Stockman's Wallet personnel may access account data where there is a legitimate reason to do so, including to:
- investigate or respond to a support request;
- diagnose a technical issue, data discrepancy, billing issue, or security concern;
- maintain, test, or improve the Service;
- comply with a legal obligation.
Access is limited to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant task. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not access account data for purposes unrelated to operating, supporting, securing, or improving Stockman's Wallet.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the Service. Each processes only the minimum data required for its function:
- Supabase (backend infrastructure, authentication, database) - stores your account and livestock data.
- Anthropic / Claude(AI processing) - processes your Brangus chat messages to generate AI responses under Anthropic's commercial terms, which do not use your messages to train their models. Messages are retained only as needed for processing, security, and abuse monitoring. When you use AI or Intelligence features, relevant account, herd, property, or portfolio information may also be sent so the feature can generate a response.
- Apple (Sign in with Apple, WeatherKit, and App Store in-app purchases) - authenticates you, retrieves weather for your property locations, and processes iOS payments.
- Stripe (payment processing, hosted in the United States) - processes web subscription and pack payments and your card details as merchant payment processor.
- RevenueCat (subscription management, hosted in the United States) - manages subscription and entitlement status across iOS and web. Receives your account identifier and transaction data, not your card details.
- Resend(transactional email, hosted in the United States) - sends account and service emails such as early-access invitations and sign-in links. Resend receives the recipient's email address and the contents of those messages. It is not used for marketing or advertising.
- MLA (Meat & Livestock Australia) (market data) - provides livestock market prices. No personal data is sent.
- PostHog(product analytics, hosted in the European Union) - records which features you use and actions you take inside the app and on the website so we can understand how to improve the product. PostHog receives your account identifier, email address, and event names (such as “herd created” or “tab selected”). It does not receive your livestock data, valuations, sale records, or document contents. PostHog is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
- Vercel Web Analytics (website traffic, hosted in the United States) - records privacy-preserving, aggregate traffic information for the public marketing website only (page views, referrers, browser type). It does not track signed-in app activity and is not used for advertising.
- Sentry (error and performance monitoring, hosted in the United States) - records uncaught errors, performance traces, and a small amount of session context (browser, device, page path) so we can diagnose and fix bugs. Request bodies, cookies, and visible page text are scrubbed before being sent. Sentry is not used for advertising or profiling.
- Meta Platforms(advertising measurement, hosted in the United States) - on our public marketing website only, we use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API to measure the performance of our Facebook and Instagram advertising. Meta receives the pages you visit on the website, actions such as joining the waitlist or creating an account, your IP address and browser type, and, where available, a hashed (one-way encrypted) version of your email address so that sign-ups can be matched to ads. The Meta Pixel sets cookies in your browser. This applies only to the public marketing website and never to your signed-in app data such as herds, valuations, or sale records. You can manage or opt out of this tracking through your browser cookie settings and your Meta ad preferences.
We do not sell your data. Aside from the advertising measurement on our public marketing website described above, we do not run advertising trackers inside the app, and we never use your livestock data or in-app activity for advertising or profiling. Product analytics are used solely to understand feature usage and improve the app.
Overseas Disclosure
Your livestock and account data are stored in Australia (Sydney region). However, some of the third-party providers above operate overseas, so certain limited information may be disclosed to or accessed from outside Australia, including the United States (Stripe, RevenueCat, Sentry, Vercel, Meta, Resend, and Anthropic) and the European Union (PostHog). Apple may process payment and authentication data in the regions in which it operates. Where we disclose information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Cookies and Tracking
Our marketing website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, privacy-preserving analytics, and the advertising measurement described above. The app itself does not use advertising cookies. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may affect how the website works.
Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account and its associated data at any time from Settings. When you delete your account, we remove your data from our active systems within 30 days, and local data on your device is removed immediately. Backups are cycled out of our systems in the ordinary course. We may retain limited records (such as transaction and tax records) for longer where required to comply with a legal obligation.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data at any time through the app.
- Correct inaccurate data by editing your profile or livestock records.
- Deleteyour account and all associated data from Settings > Security > Delete Account.
- Export your data by contacting us at the email below.
